Biography
"Dallas has its Dixie Chicks, and San Francisco has Blame Sally", the difference being, among other things, that Blame Sally's music is a little more indie, a little less country, a little more brainy and Blame Sally released their potent anti-war song in 2001, long before protest became fashionable among the mainstream. An updated version of that song is one of the 12 tracks on their third release, Severland, the album that looks poised to bring this all-woman band the attention fans and critics have long felt they are due. To highlight the release a music video of "If You Tell a Lie" has been featured on Neil Young's politically charged website, 'Living With War,' and rose to number two in downloads on the site.

In mid 2007 the album Severland was officially released nationally in retail stores and online through Ryko/Warner via Dig Music, a Sacramento, CA based record label and distribution company. This is a significant step forward for the band that has so far done almost everything for themselves, from writing, arranging, producing and engineering their CDs to marketing, booking and promoting their own concerts and tours.

Their music, which has been described as emotionally charged, passionate, highly melodic and compelling, has been played on radio stations around the country. Their performance schedule has taken them from San Francisco, CA to Sardinia, Italy, including performances at some of the country's finest acoustic music festivals (such as Strawberry Music Festival, Four Corners Folk Festival, Live Oak Music Festival), concert halls and listening rooms.

Neil Young's Living With War website features the BLAME SALLY music video "If You Tell a Lie" which held the #2 position for eight months, among videos by Pink, Pearl Jam, Kris Kristofferson, Steve Earle and many more. San Francisco's KFOG selected tracks from both previous Blame Sally CDs to appear on its 2003 and 2004 compilations alongside tracks by Paul Simon, Spearhead, Jackie Greene, The Waifs, Dar Williams, and more.
